Tickets Borghese Gallery

I noticed in the fine print that the order confirmation email is recommended to be printed out. Has anyone had an issue just pulling up the email confirmation on their phone to present at the ticket office?

I don't know the answer to your question, but this issue is becoming a big one everywhere. More and more sights have discounts for online booking; more and more sights are like the Borghese and basically require advance online booking to make sure they can be seen at all; and more of us traveling with phones or tablets but without printers.

So, whether or not a ticket can be scanned off a phone or needs to be printed out is something that is very useful to know. Some websites tell you this before booking; some only tell you after you complete the booking; and some are moot on the subject. I just encountered this in London, and it was very frustrating (a huge number of London sights have discounts, sometimes substantial, for online advance tickets).

When are you visiting the Borghese? Perchance are you on the Venice/Florence/Rome trip anytime soon?

I did the Venice/Florence/Rome/Sorrento on my first trip to Italy a few years back. This trip is just Sorrento/Amalfi Coast...a few days in Rome and a few days In Venice since my travel partner has not been to Italy. I missed out on the Borghese on my first two trips to Rome so I am really excited to see that on this trip.

Oh my! We are considering purchasing tickets for same date and time! We are trying to decide if adding Borghese on same day as our Vatican tour will be too much for one day. Any thoughts? If we do book for the 9th I will contact you again in this Forum and it would be fun to actually meet you!

The vatican museums are really crowded no matter what time of year you are there. The highlight is the sistine chapel and photographs are a better way to see the art. St. Peters is a must see if only for the Pieta by michelangelo and the centerpiece by Bernini...tons of art!

If you run into us in Rome please say hello:)

We had a phone reservation. On our appointed day, all they needed was the conformation number. They could not find our conformation number on their computer so quickly he found it under our name. good luck and enjoy … don't forget to walk around in the park.
