Does anyone know if you purchase tickets to see the Colosseum in Rome from the official website Parco, can you skip the line. If anyone know's when the crowds die down, thinking of going in the afternoon.

Right, ALL entry tickets are advance, timed-entry so while no one skips the security check queue, you'll only be in line with others scheduled for that same time slot. They do this for crowd control.
