Hi all, I'm trying to book tickets on their website for late September, and when I go onto the ticket-booking portion of their website I only see the month of August available for purchase. I've tried using multiple browsers (firefox, safari), thinking it could be me, but I don't think it is! Is this typical? I might try and call tomorrow to reserve that way, but before I do, thought I'd check to see if anyone else has had this issue--or been able to buy further ahead than 4 weeks on their website! Thank you! kate
I bought tickets for September online though www.florenceart.it (yes I know the Borghese is in Rome) but that site gave me the day and early morning time I wanted. www.viatour.it also has tickets available although I seem to recall they were all for 3 p.m. Since this is a very important must see for me I just really wanted a prepaid voucher in my sweaty little tourist hand:)
I called them to make my reservations. I was planning on using the Roma Pass (or whatever it was called - don't remember off the top of my head) and did not want to pay online. It was easy to call them if you can make it work with the time difference.
The Borghese usually doesn't book more than 30 days out. Just wait a week or two and then you'll be able to book with the official site and save money. There is no need to use a third party vendor like mentioned above (1rst post). They will charge you fees for booking. Donna
Thank you all so much! I did look into the alternative ticket-buying sites, and then read somewhere on TripAdvisor that they up-charge the heck out of those tickets. I'll be patient and wait to buy at the museum's website, or try calling next week. Kate
