What is the simplest public transit way to get to termini station where our hotel is? Our bus from the coast drops us off at Tibertina.

There are frequent trains between the two, takes about 10 minutes. The trains will be listed as going elsewhere (unless they are coming from elsewhere and Termini is the last stop) so you may need to look at the stops as opposed to the destination.
The Metro also connects the two in about the same time

Metro is probably more frequent than the train.
There are also buses to various places in Roma, so you may not even have to enter the train terminal (but you need a bus ticket).

What is the hotel address? There may be a bus that takes you closer than Termini itself. The 649 and 17 buses run every 17 minutes mid-day. Train is not the way to go as it can be up to an hour waiting for a direct Regionale you can use. And the Metro is just 4 stops away.
