Three nights after visiting Florence

We have three night after visiting Florence before going to Rome. We want to be lazy and just enjoy the Italian culture and hang out. Any ideas on where to go?

So many options!!! Lots of great places in Tuscany or Umbria, do you plan on just relaxing in the one town or day trips as well from there? Will you be renting a car or relying on trains/busses?

A good place to spend 3 lazy days could be Perugia or Orvieto. I've spent time in each and either would be great.

Buon viaggio,

Dru,

My suggestion would be Siena (with perhaps one day trip) or Orvieto (with a day trip to Civita di Bagnoregio).

Either location would be perfect for that time frame, especially as you just want to "be lazy and just enjoy the Italian culture".

Happy travels!

We found a great little Agriturisomo outside Orvieto, on the way to Civita di Bagnoregio. Locanda Rosati (http://www.locandarosati.it/) was a great relaxing place to hang out and veg. We spent a day in Montepulciano, one in Orvieto, and one in Chivita. (we did have a car)

If you choose to head to Orvieto,
here's a second vote for Locanda Rosati----a wonderful
agriturismo. Check it out on Trip Advisor.
