those flying light sticks that vendors sell all over Italy

No idea what they're called, but gave some as gifts to our neighbor children and they loved them.

I think you just go out to a popular area after dark and look for them. Whoever is shooting them up is the one selling them.

I think I tracked them down via Amazon, they are called "Rocket Copters" ...I bought a bunch for my grandkids for our upcoming family gathering

I have seen them sold in the US at various street fairs.

They sure ruined a number of my long exposure night photos in Venice, Paris, and elsewhere!

Lol Andrew - don't get me started on the laser lights either when trying to do long exposures! ;)
