I will be there again next June for a week, can't wait!

Ristorante La Colombina is my favorite.

Shhhh. Don't make this lovely town too popular and spoil it for those of us "in the know."

Loved Bologna and also Modena eating at Osteria Francesana and Hosteria Guisti

However I'm not sold on Eataly World being a good thing. The stores in the states are great but now all the tourists can go there in Bologna instead of the smaller farms for their tours and tastings and see all the products. I think it may hurt the smaller farms and tours in the long run.

We were just in Tuscany last week and through many conversations with locals they were all concerned with how touristy some of the towns have become, that they are losing some of their Italian identity. When we asked them where they go that still has a classic Italian vibe they ALL said Bologna. Guess we will have to get there soon. Thanks for the link (hope not too many other people see it!) ;)
