We will be spending 1-2 days in Parma in late June. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to see or do there? Thanks,
Carol
Plenty to see and do in Parma. My one big must-do suggestion would be a tour of one of the Parmigiano cheese dairies. You can arrange it free by email through the consortium and one of the dairies is close enough to be a fairly inexpensive taxi ride from town (offered in Engilsh). That's early in the morning and takes most of the morning. Also, the duomo and baptistery are great. There is also a lovely big park, and a few other important pieces of art (and old theater, some frescoes, etc). I used the Cadogan guide for Parma and found it very useful. Parma is a really lovely town and nice to just wander and have some fantastic food.
I'm going to Parma too on June 24th. Does anyone have a good hotel or B&B recommendation?
