we were planning to go to the Monument Cemetery and the Last Supper but both are closed on Mondays.,.....we are there on Monday, are planning a day trip to Como on Tuesday, must leave on Wednesday......thank you for any suggestions of things to do on Monday when most museums appear closed

Since the Last Supper is just hype (you see the restorers' interpretation of a long vanished fresco) and the 900 Museum has no interest for foreigners, the only "big one" that's closed on Mondays is Brera. Plus the Science and Tech museum if you have kids.

I suggest you a day trip with the Bernina Express. Really worth it
