Thello train from Venice to Paris or fly

While we have done the overnight trains from Munich to Paris, and Venice to Munich, we never did the Venice to Paris route. Most of the sleepers look booked except this:
Cabine-lit 2 Pers Entière / Intera / Whole
What does this mean? Is the Cabine a couchette or nice sleeper?

There are two of us

The other option is fly Easy Jet from Venice to Paris - the flexi rates are outrageous - we will have one carry on bag and a backpack. If I bump up to the more leg room seats it says we can bring the carry on and a smaller bag - would a regular backpack qualify? (Its more of a school backpack size - not a camper backpack).

A 2 hr flight vs a 9+ hour train ride. For me its an easy choice to fly.

As for bags, you will have to measure yours and see how they stack u to the airline size allowances, dimensions and weight.

easyjet is not the only airline choice--- look at Total cost

I'm pretty sure that is a two person private compartment where the couch used for daytime folds out into a two person bed at night, as opposed to the more common arrangements where there are two bunks stacked bunk bed style. Email Thello.

Seat61.com has a pretty good discussion of this train.

Thello is not a particularly fancy (nor well-reviewed) night train. You can see their cabin layout at https://www.thello.com/en/paris-venice/coach-layout. "Cabin Coaches" have standard triple bunks and a small sink, like most traditional sleepers in Europe. The premium version is in short supply, costs more, and includes a private shower and WC. The "Couchette" designation is also very traditional, with either 4 or 6 bunks and no sink.
