The rest of "short" story. (sorry longer than I thought!)

Then onto Volterra for 4 nights, this is probably my favorite town. Much cooler, as it was always around 100 in Rome and Florence. It seemed a bit more touristy this time, more people, but still quite quaint. Went to Andrea Bocelli rehearsal concert, and the actual concert in Lajatico, it was just glorious! Rain in Volterra two days, and much cooler, about 80's in the day and cooler in the evenings. Ate at some lovely local restaurants, good food! Back to Florence for last two nights and flight back to states. That is where the nightmare began, won't get into that in depth, but flight was canceled, and didn't get back home till 24 hours later than originally planned. I just want to say, SOLO travel and for a senior can be a joy! Plan well, and know where you want to go, train and bus connections were extremely easy and enjoyable!
