We were fortunate to be in the area in 2007 and visited. Absolutely, absolutely worth the drive. The floors are covered and can't be seen all but 6 weeks every year.

We just returned Sept.26th! and witness the beautiful floors didn't realize they are not always visable, I guess we should count our blessing.

Why is covered and what how much does it cost to see it? Do you need advance reservation? I loved Siena and would absolutely go back. Thanks!!

I think it is 3 euros to get in. Saw it at the beginning of Oct. Didn't realize it isn't always visable. They are beautiful.
