The Beehive - Rome Housing..anyone stayed here?

Hi, In August 3 of my sisters and I will be visiting Europe - I need to book housing for our stay in Rome. Has anyone stayed at "The Beehive?" We're on a budget, looking for economical, clean, but safe as its 4 women traveling. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I recall seeing a lot of positive things about them here, and lots of people suggesting them... do a search in the upper-right hand corner and you will probably find a lot of stuff. But if you're going in August - be careful - I think they don't have air conditioning (put it this way - on their website they specifically mention the rooms having a ceiling fan)... it's over 90 degrees in Rome right now and probably in August too, so that's something to consider and check before you decide where to stay. good luck :)

I WILL be staying there in August. Yes it will be hot but we'll be OK. I've read some reviewes ... clean, quaint, with friendly owners is a theme. That works for me ... especially with the great price! I like the locations as well (for train use). We will be there the nights of August 17 & 18. Have a great trip! Kelly

I stayed there in November 2005 and loved it. Clean, safe, convenient location, lovely staff -- and Ingmar the cat is a charmer. I'm back in Rome this September and wanted to stay there again, but it was already booked solid when I tried to reserve, 4 months in advance. So if they have availability, grab it now!
