The Beehive in Rome

Has anyone stayed at this hotel/hostel? Is it nice and easy to get to the sights of interest?

brad, I haven't stayed at The Beehive, as it's always been booked full every time I've tried. However I'm familiar with the area that it's in, near Termini station. Yes, in my experience it's really easy to get to "the sights of interest". Termini has numerous transportation options including Metro and Buses. If you can't walk to a sight, it's easy to use public transit to at least get close. When using all modes of public transit, DON'T forget to validate your ticket or you'll face hefty fines, which will be collected on the spot! Cheers!

We stayed near Rebublica Plaza, or about 5-6 blocks from Termini and walked to from the train station with our luggage. Easy enough to take the Metro to the Colloseum and Vatican City.

Brad, We stayed at The Beehive in 2010. We loved it. We stayed in a dorm and were pleased with everything! The staff is very friendly and very helpful. It is very handy to the train station. They have a great walled courtyard out front. The sign is really small next to a silver door - so watch closely once you get on the block. Sharon

I stayed there for a night last summer. It's a lot cleaner and a lot more welcoming than most of the places I've stayed in the Termini area. It's a nice hostel/hotel hybrid, and if you can get a reservation, consider yourself lucky. And I'm going to reiterate what Sharon said, it's a little tricky to find the place... just keep your eyes peeled for the sign.
