The Alpe di Siusi or Seceda in the morning? 🌞

We are going to see Seceda and Alpe Di SuIsi in one day. If you had to choose between the Alpe Di Suisi or Seceda views in the morning which would you choose? (See the other later in the day/afternoon)

Seceda gets busy after 10 in my experience so go early and walk out to the Forcella Pana, an easy walk of 40 minutes roundtrip. The path is narrow so it is nice to do before there are too many people going both directions.

Assume you will go up to the Alpe di Siusi in Ortisei at Mont SĂ«uc? You could have lunch at the mountain restaurant there. Will you just go for view or do you want a little walk? I have suggestions, if you are interested. Just send me a PM.

Hello Spencer, just be aware that is an enormous area of coverage and would be difficult to do in one day. Where are you leaving from? Ortisei would be the best option but you really need one day in each, unless you want to “see it” and not experience it. There are 2 funiculars to go to Seceda from Ortisei (they are adjacent) and check if they are functioning. We were there in early June and the second one wasn’t working. The red egg that goes to the alpe di suisi (from Ortisei) brings you up in just a few minutes, it is very steep and then walking around the AdS is incredible. As I mentioned, when we were there in early June the second funicular to Seceda wasn’t functioning and we went to the other side of the mountains at Col Raiser and walked to the Seceda. It was very, very steep and took a while up and down, it looks so much easier on a map. Don’t underestimate your time hiking and taking in the magnificent vistas on each side. Also, check the times that the funiculars close while you are there!
