Pisa: went on our way from CT to Tuscany. The kids loved climbing to the top & taking their leaning pictures. If you don't have kids or don't care to say "I climbed the tower" I would skip it. Not much else there except the church & bapistry and lots of tacky souvenir vendors.
We got all our tickets online at the websites mentioned on this helpline for Accademia, Leaning tower & Doges palace. It was worth it as we never waited in line & even got in early at the Accademia:)
