We just returned from 17 day trip to Italy, and I just wanted to say thanks to all who post. This forum is my number one research tool and has been invaluable. Special shoutouts to Roberta da Firenze and NYC Travel Snob for their extremely practical and useful posts (as well as the sheer entertainment value of many of Roberto's answers), and also to Peter from Australia, who let me know about the Architectural Biennale and Vittorio Constanti's glass shop, both of which we visited while in Venice.
