Thanks re: solo travel (and trip report)

I wanted to say that I appreciate everyone who helped me plan and gave me advice for traveling and dining in Italy solo. 40 is just around the bend and I hadn't managed to spend more than 24 hours alone in my life! Though the reason I'm rarely alone is because I've been taking care of other people, I was still unsure about that level of solitude, especially as a non neurotypical person. Despite a couple bumps, I feel like I'll be ok traveling alone in the future. Thanks again!

A couple people had asked if I would report back and I posted the Sicily trip report several days ago, but I finally have the Bologna, Parma, Modena and beyond part up. (Warning- it's long!)

Congrats on following through despite your hesitancy and I'm glad it all worked out for you!
And thanks for reporting back - you may be inspiring someone else to adventure out there or find something great (or avoid something bad) with your report.

PS Went to Verona for the first time in September and was also surprised by how pretty and charming it was. I've been recommending it to people despite only spending a few days there.
