Dear Friends,
Sorry this has taken so long to post! Many family issues arose once we returned from our fabulous month long trip to Italy & France.
I wanted to thank all of you who gave us great advice and specific tips!
To Zoe...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for recommending La Maurella in Praiano!! We enjoyed a fantastic week there with Michele and Mario! It was easy to take a SITA bus everywhere along the Amalfi Coast!! We made lasting friends there with Michele & Mario and will return some day!!
I apologize, but can't remember who recommended the Antiche Mura hotel in Sorrento, but also THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Awesome place and be sure to say hi to Vincenzo at the front desk and have a nightly Happy Hour drink with Tony, the bartender. Do not miss a dinner at Ristoratne Fuoro! We traveled to Capri from Sorrento....don't miss the San Michele Church in Anacapri...whole floor is tile telling the Creation story! Amazing!
There are so many more wonderful restaurants, places, things to tell you all, but not enough space.
Our trip was: 8 days in Rome, 5 days in Paris, 7 days in Praiano (Amalfi Coast) 5 days in Sorrento and 2 days in Fiumicino (Port of Rome). we did all this without a car! All public transportation! If anyone would like more specifics, please feel free to email me through this site!
I have been telling everyone how wonderful this forum is for receiving such terrific and useful information!!
