We leave for the US out of Rome on the 2nd. Any suggestions on testing sites that might be open on the 1st? Is it just worth testing at the airport before our flight on the 2nd?

I would definitely recommend booking a test at the airport for the 2nd. If you end up finding somewhere on the 1st, you can always cancel the appointment but I think it may be difficult to find a test that day.
