Greetings. After 3 trips to Rome over 20 years staying pretty much right around Campo de' Fiori, we decided to branch out and have reserved an AirBnB in Testaccio for a week early March 2027, facing the Piazza di Santa Maria Liberatrice. I know it'll be somewhat quieter than our previous digs, but with the same or more culinary options, and the famed Testaccio Market is 3 blocks away. There's a bus stop right in front of our building, so we'll be exploring all of Roma during that week, but am counting on a deep-dive into Testaccio, and the same across the river in Trastevere.
Any favorite spots that you remember in Testaccio from past trips? I'm making a laundry list of restaurants, cafes, interesting historical spots--I know they're all over. Thanks in advance!
