Testaccio b&b or hotel recommendations

We would love to try staying in Testaccio on our next trip to Rome. We’re hoping to find a quite place for around 125€ if possible. We need a place with an elevator or on the first floor. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Presumably you mean ground floor since in Italy what Italians call the 1st floor is what we call the 2nd floor.

We really enjoyed this ground floor apartment in Testaccio in 2015. I can highly recommend it.

Thank you, Michael. The apartment looks perfect. Unfortunately, looks like the apartment won’t be available after June of this year.
I can walk up a flight of stairs, so a first floor place work.

We loved this airbnb place with elevator: COZY & DESIGN- ROME CENT-QUITE-Wifi--KITCHEN-METRO

We've stayed in various neighborhoods in Rome and now always stay in Testaccio just northwest of the metro station and train station. So many good places to eat!

Here was my review:

If part of your enjoyment of travel is staying in “adventure apartments” where things leak, blow up, fall apart, won’t open, won’t close, break off, fail to work, or can’t be found --- sorry, you must look elsewhere. Paola’s thoughtfully planned and thoroughly functional apartment will not provide you with any hilarious or horrific stories.

However, it is not at all an American-style apartment, but a very Italian one in a very Italian neighborhood. And Paola herself, like her apartment, is welcoming, calm, efficient, organized, easy to understand, and provides you with everything you need. There is even a giant notebook full of useful information in several languages about the apartment and Rome and the Testaccio neighborhood (our favorite area to stay.)

Although I suppose the apartment is technically a studio, it doesn’t feel like one --- it feels so light and spacious and uncluttered that the two of us (who are used to living in twenty times as much indoor space and way more clutter) thought we could easily live in Casa della Robbia for a month or more.

Nancy, Thanks! Looks like this place is available, if we move our dates a little. Just have to check with work.

Thank you all for the suggestions. We booked at Casa a Testaccio which looks very reasonable. Any other tips for places to eat or drink very welcome!
