Terraces of the Cathedral in Florence

I read that taking the 'Terraces of the Cathedral' tour in Florence no longer allows you entrance into the Duomo without waiting in line; is this true? I am planning to be in Florence Monday, 10/7/13, and was hoping to take advantage of that time-saving tip. Thank you,

We were on a RS Best of Italy tour in May, 2013 and the "Terraces of the Cathedral and Dome" tour was no longer being sold at the Duomo Museum
