After our visit to Sorrento-Pompeii-Amafii after our RS tour, I was thinking to take the bus from Sorrento back to Rome. To my understanding, the bus would drop us off at the Tiburtina train station. Is it more advisable to take the train to the airport from Termini or Tiburtina? Is it better to stay near Termini? What section of Rome is the Tiburtina in? If we need to spend the night in Rome, are there RS hotels near Tibertini? Any suggestions are very welcome and much appreciated! Ruth

From my recollection of Tiburtina, you'd be better off staying overnight near Termini. That way you can easily enjoy a dinner and stroll that evening. Access to the airport from either station is about equal.

Ruth, My preference would be to stay near Termini, and then use the Leonardo Express to the airport (that's the method I usually use). When you arrive at Roma Tiburtina, you can use the Metro to reach Termini. It's only about five stops on the "B" line (direction Laurentina). Happy travels!
