Hi All - Have you utilized Termini's left luggage counter? How safe/secure do you consider it? We are considering leaving our 2 suitcases there for a few hours while seeing the Forum/Colleseum. Thanks in advance for your advice.
It is very safe and secure. Make sure to give yourself enough time to retrieve your luggage as the lines can be very long. Donna
Thanks for asking the question Stephanie...I didn't even realize there was a 'left luggage' counter. I guess that would make more sense to utilize than going to the hotel before check-in, and then transiting back to Termini to start exploring. Is there any cost for this?
The cost is a couple of Euro. It is on the lower level, right hand side (as you face the tracks). For Suzan -- I would take your luggage directly to your hotel as they will store it for you if your room is not available. You don't need to return to Termini to start your exploration unless you are using one of the hop on/off buses.
You can board and buy a ticket for the HOHO buses at any of the stops on their circuit. We joined the 110 opentop trambus at the Colosseum http://www.trambusopen.com/en/110open.cfm Edit - here is the link to opening times etc for left luggage at Termini station. http://www.grandistazioni.it/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=5dc9fb73699fb110VgnVCM1000003f16f90aRCRD
