My husband and I will be traveling to the Euganean Hills to the town of Teolo for a wedding (and our first trip to Italy) fall of 2026. Any suggestions of places to visit within a 1 or 2 hour drive. We will fly into Venice which is the closest airport and plan to spend 2 or 3 days there.

Padua, Vicenza, Ferrara, Verona - many riches in that area! If you don't have the Rick Steves Italy guidebook, you should definitely get it and study!
