Temperature in Northern Italy in early September

I'm thinking of flying into Venice at the end of August and traveling to Florence, Sienna, Cinqua Terra and other near-by points during the first two weeks of September. For those who have been there, how hot is it? I'm hoping for mid-seventies. What about humidity? Thanks for any help you can provide.

go here, input location and time span

It will tell you what the actual weather has been, at that location and time of year, in the last 10 to 15 years.

Teresa,

I've travelled in that area during September and early October, and for the most part the weather was quite decent except for a day or two of rain. The days were quite warm, but I don't remember the exact temperatures.

I wouldn't have an hesitation in returning to that part of Italy in September and October.

We were in Rome & Northern Italy early September 2009. Weather was great though still warm. In Rome it was pretty hot & humid still but of course it was cooler as we travelled north. I'd say mid-seventies to low eighties in some places. We encountered a few days of rain in the Cinque Terre but otherwise the weather was nice. I would definitely not hesitate to travel that time of year again. The warmer it is, the more gelato you can eat!!!

I had the same experience as other repliers. I hit a very nasty morning storm in Florence in the first week of Sept once, but it was gone by lunchtime and I went into the Pitti Palace in the meanwhile. Had one rainy morning in Venice at the end of August but I was in the Doge's Palace at the time so it didn't affect me. Otherwise, I found the weather pretty glorious, mid-70s to low 80s, sunny, etc. I was glad all of my B&Bs had a/c.

I didn't find it that humid and I live in LA so am used to quite dry climate, but these kinds of things are hard to predict.
