Technology and charging

If we use our apple adaptors for our iPhones and iPads, are they OK to plug with an adaptor into the wall for charging or do we need a converter?? We will be in Rome, Sorrento, sienna, Lucca and Milan versus rural locations
Thx

Can't speak definitively about iPhone adapters, but in five recent trips (France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland) we have just used adapters, never converters, to charge our Samsung Android phones. We carry an ordinary extension cord and connect it to the wall power source using one adapter, then plug our phones (and electric toothbrush charger) into the extension cord just like at home.

Yes, as David says, just the adaptors.

I will add that I had an interesting conversation with an Apple service guy last week who told me that I should always carry the charger cubes for both my iPhone and iPad Mini. I told him when I traveled internationally I usually just carried the smaller cube for the phone and charged both of them off that. He said I could ruin the iPad doing that and to carry both. If I had to just carry one, take the larger one as the iPhone will pull only the amount it needs even from the larger cube.

Pam,

"I told him when I traveled internationally I usually just carried the smaller cube for the phone and charged both of them off that."

The Apple rep. was absolutely correct. The iPads require more current for charging, which the iPhone charger can not deliver. If using the smaller charger, it's possible it could fail and self destruct, possibly destroying the iPad too. If you want to just carry one Charger, one like this should work, as it provides both low current and high current outputs - https://www.logiix.net/collections/power/products/usb-power-cube-rapide?variant=23983665603 .
