Four American seniors of average weight (OK, maybe a little heavier than average!) will be touring the sights of Rome next month.
I'd like us to use taxis as much as possible for getting around.
Obviously many Euro cars are on the small side.
Will we have any trouble finding taxis we can all fit into for short-ish trips to the tourist sites?
Please answer the question assuming NO luggage.
And also answer for when we have suitcases with us on arrival at FCO airport.
Many thanks,
David
No problem at FCO
They will put you in a taxi van if needed
Elsewhere? You may have to wait for a larger taxi
I am not sure if passenger can sit in front-I think not
If your lodgings are in historic center you can probably walk-very compact
Maybe a taxi to Vatican and/Colosseum
Taxis can’t always get you very close to the sights in the center anyway
