Hey RS community!
I'll be based in Cortona, and have hired a Cortona-based taxi to bring me to Montepulciano for the day. I'm not sure how long I'll be there, so hoping to keep return plans flexible. Do you know of a local taxi company I can call to get a ride back to Cortona at the end of the day? I'm having a hard time finding information about this online! Or do you have a suggestion for where I should go in town, to find taxi drivers? I.e. maybe the local bus/train station?

If you’re unable to find a taxi, there’s a bus/train combo. Take the bus from Montepulicano to Chuisi Stazine Pzza Dante, and then the train to Cortona. I did a similar route in reverse last September.
You need a taxi to GET to the train station that serves Montepulciano! (It's about five miles from town.) As I recall, the bus station is at the far north end of town. I would ask the Montepulciano tourist information office about taxis (trying to e-mail them might be worth a shot).
