Taxi from Termini Train Rome to close to Vatican

We are arriving from Florence by train next week. We rented an apartment close to Vatican on Via di Porta Fabbrica. We don't want to go in a packed bus with all of our luggage to the apartment. We are 3 adults travelling together. We arrive mid-afternoon.

We want to know if there is a taxi stand close to the Termini Train Station. How much should I expect to pay? Is traffic bad in mid-afternoon?

Thanks.

There is a taxi stand with plenty of taxis in front of the termini station on Piazza dei Cinquecento.
Depending on traffic the taxi fare should be around 20 euro.
Traffic in Rome is often chaotic in many places, but taxis are allowed to use the taxi/bus lanes on via Nazionale and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, so it shouldn't take too long (about about 15-20 min on average).

Be sure to only take a taxi from the taxi stand in front of the station facing the plazza. You may get other offers of taxis as you walk but ignore than and keeping walking. The taxi stand is obvious. Just look for the head of the long line of taxis.

There is usually someone directing people toward taxis in the queue, you should have no problem. As said before, do not follow someone who may approach you even before you get to the queue offering a special price or "no waiting" taxi - the queue moves pretty fast.

Sorry to tag on this question, but we will be doing same in a few months but going to hotel near Campo d Fiori. Would fare be around the same, maybe a little less?
