Can anyone suggest another taxi company other than moretti as they have responded and are too busy to fit us in for the drive from Sorrento to amalfi. We are travelling that route on September 12.

If worse comes to worst, there's always bus #5071 for about $4 each though it takes an hour and a half for the journey. IMHO a little more back door and a lot more fun. Go native!

We took the public bus (granted we got off at Positano). And there were a couple passengers w luggage. If u are traveling fairly light - go for it.

Our 2014 Sorrento hotel partnered with a black-car service at a Sorrento travel agency, Eurotravel, Via degli Aranci, 9, eurotravelsorrento.com . We had a car and driver to see the A.C. for 8-hours, about 240 Euros. This is an expensive trip. Try to make it in daylight so you can enjoy the views, with no driving worries. Another approach is to email your hotel in Amalfi, since they have a big incentive for you to be satisfied. Think about your trip home now, since Amalfi is so far from any rail line or airport.
