We will be headed to Ravenna via Train from Venice to catch a cruise from Port Corsini. Are taxis at the station easily available to take us to Port Corsini?
Would also like to know if there are shuttles that go from station to port.
I'm sure there will be taxi cabs lined up at the station.
If not call the Ravenna Radio Taxi number:
+39 0544 338 88
The cost should be around 20-25€
I don't know if there is a shuttle bus, but there is the City Bus no. 90 that can take you there.
Thank You Roberto!
We did a cruise with Royal Caribbean from Ravenna (Porto Corsini) last summer. There are apparently very few taxis in Ravenna and people were lined up for hours waiting for taxis. Just book a transfer with the cruise ship. If it's RC, they offered a transfer from the Ravenna train station to the ship.
Thank you. It’s been a challenge trying to get info from RC. It’s good to know that we can book a shuttle from the station to the port. I will check with my travel agent.
Just be advised that you cannot book 2 different types of transfers before the cruise. So if you just want a shuttle from the Ravenna train station to the ship and then afterwards a shuttle back to Venice, they will not let you book that. But you can book whichever shuttle you need on the ship if this is the case. My parents had to do that with no issues. If you want a shuttle to and from the Ravenna train station, that will be fine to book before the cruise.
Thank you. My travel agent was able to find out that there is an RC shuttle every 20 mins until 3pm. I was able to book a return trip with RC between Ravenna station and port Corsini. The total cost came to approx 45 Euros total for 5 people each way.
No lineups and straight to the ship! ✅
Thanks for the informative responses!
Have fun! :)
Is it possible to exit the RC ship at Porto Corsini and make a 930 flight from Bologna. Does anyone have a recommendations for travel services?
That doesn’t sound possible
You’d need to be at airport by 7:30
So off the ship and on your way 5:30/6:00 at the latest
It’s 2 hours or more by train
Maybe an hour and a half drive
