Taxi from florence to Tuscany

Hi there,

Hope everybody is doing well! I'm spending one night at a Tuscan villa in San Casciano in Val di Pesa and am debating between trying to get a taxi from Florence on the Sunday I would leave the city or just biting the bullet and arranging it through the villa (quoted 110 euros). Renting a car is not an option and neither is transit. I reached out to the two main cab companies in Florence but neither got back to me. It looks like it would be a 30 minute or so ride and about 20 km, and based on a taxi fare calculator it'd look to be about 45 euros but that seems way too little. Bit of a longshot but has anyone tried anything similar/know if the taxis in Florence will even take you to the Tuscan outskirts and if so, if it would be remotely close to 110 euros?

I think it would be about 60 euro max. I doubt it would be 110€, since 160€ is the fare to Pisa airport, which is over 85 km from Florence.

But if you go to a villa in the countryside near S.Casciano VP, how are you going to move around? I doubt a taxi from Florence would come all the way there and risk a no show. Going is one thing, but coming to pick up I doubt it, so you'd need to arrange a private car in San Casciano.

Thanks, Roberto. I'm going with the villa's 110 euro transport for that exact reason going back, but I figured the first leg would be cheaper and easier to get taxis in Florence and save some money, as long as the taxis are reasonably priced and willing to make the 20 km journey.
