I'll be arriving on a Friday evening into the train station at Chiusi Scalo and seeking taxi transportation to my destination: farmhouse La Grencaia which is near Castellucio della Foce. I understand it's approx. 26 kilo. What is the taxi fare to this destination?

Assuming you do find a cab, you'll likely have to pay roundtrip fare, since he won't be able to pick up a return fare once he drops you off. But what are you going to do for transportation once you get to La Grencaia? You'll be stranded. Everyone else staying at an agriturismo that is that isolated will have a rental car. Have you considered getting one?

Thank you for responding. Someone else from our party staying at the farmhouse will have a car and has offered to pick up/drop off at the train station. I would utilize a taxi as optional transportation only. What is the approx. daily car rental charges in this region?

From the station to the agriturismo is about 20 km. I'm sure they are going to charge at least 50 euros. A cheaper option might be the bus from Chiusi station to Chianciano terme, then a taxi from Chianciano terme, which is closer to the agriturismo. Rental cars in Italy will cost you around 40-50 euro a day (insurance included). Hertz, Avis and Europcar have offices in Chiusi.
