Wonder what someone recently paid for a taxi from Florence airport to the city center. We’re flying in on a Monday afternoon and staying near San Marcos. The various websites say 22 euro and 1 euro per bag. But then you go to the taxi company sites and one says 28 euro and 1.2 euro per bag. Another says they’ll sell you a coupon for 44 euro. Wondering what the fixed price is currently and cost for bags. We plan to take the tram. The taxi is a back up in case of rain. Thanks.
A few years ago it was fixed rate 22 euros , no extra for bags
I believe it is now 25 euros
It is most definitely not 44 euros!

Fixed rate 28 Euro
Daytime holiday 30 Euro
Nighttime 32 Euro
Yikes that’s a bigger increase than I thought
We were there in 2022
Unless you have more luggage than you can manage take the electric tram...it is at the airport with ticket kiosk as well and I believe currently only 1.75 euro to city center/Santa Maria Novella train station. easy
but note the taxi queue at the train station where the tram comes in is very long and takes a good while. when we day tripped to Bologna we just walked to Porta Romana where our apartment was rather than wait in this hellacious queue. Of course with luggage we would have waited.
San Marco is an easy walk from the train station though -- we did that years ago with luggage when we had a hotel there and it was a nice walk. I don't know if the tram stops any closer to where you are but the tram stop at the train station is not far from San Marco.
The Musee San Marco is one of our favorite stops in Florence and one of the places we have revisited on several trips.
The T2 light rail tramway now goes from the airport to Piazza San Marco (the additional portion from the station to Piazza San Marco just opened last month).

So if your luggage is something you can handle on your own, I would take the T2 all the way to Piazza San Marco for 1.70€ per person and walk to your accommodations and the hell with the Italian taxi drivers’ lobby (many are dishonest tax dodgers who refuse to accept credit cards anyhow).
If you have more than one piece of luggage or if it’s more than 10kg with dimensions over 55-40-20cm you will need a ticket for the extra baggage too. One piece under 10kg and dimensions under 55-40-20cm (basically carryon) travels free. See below:

Thanks everyone for the help. Finding out the tram now goes to San Marcos is wonderful. Three minute walk to our hotel.
What would a taxi cost from the Rail station in Florence to Siena?
Taxi from Florence to Siena should be around 170€ to 200€ depending on traffic. There is no flat fare to Siena.
Bus or train would be much less (about 10€)
