Taxi availability from Bargino to Firenze

Hi everyone,

Traveling from Bargino to Firenze (city centre) at around 5pm on a Friday. Will I have much difficulty getting a taxi at that time? If no, is there a recommended taxi company I should use?

That's 13 miles, could be expensive, including perhaps the 13 mile empty leg.

If you go on a weekday the one way fare is
Initial charge (flag drop): €3.60
Per km fare: €1.99/km
From the SMN station, for example, the distance is 24km, therefore it would be 3.60 + (1.99x24)= €51.36

If you go on Sunday or holiday, the flag drop is €5.80
The fare per km is €0.11 every 55.5 meters
Therefore from SMN station, for example, it would be 5.80+(24000/55.5x0.11)=€53.37

That assumes you pick up the taxi at a taxi stand. If you call the meter starts from the time they dispatch to you.

Coming back it would be more, because if you call a taxi from Florence (assuming they come to you), the meter would start from the time they start from Florence.

Renting the car for a day would be cheaper, but I think you might get a more comfortable experience with a guided tour which I'm sure Antinori arranges for visitors from Florence. Give them a call or book through their website

Thank you for this detail information. This helps a lot to understand the cost of the taxi.

My primary mode of transportation will be the 370A bus from and to Via Santa Caterina da Siena, 17, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy. Need to arrive by 12:30PM and leave around 4 to 5PM. I'm now going through the various times it operates on Fridays.
