We will be going back to Rome for the umpteenth time and I have never seen Tarquinia (a day trip). The logistics suggest I should rent a car. My question-is it worth it after the museum in Rome? and if so, is there parking? Thanks for any input...Bill
Although a car will give you more flexibility, however trains do stop there. Last time I was in Tarquinia I was on a high school trip, circa 1977. They have an interesting museum and historical center. I also remember an Etruscan necropolis (Tarquinia was an important Etruscan town). However what I remember best of that trip was playing soccer on the beach after lunch at Lido di Tarquinia.
