My hosts at MammaMaria BB are able to book me only for 23-26 May, unavailable 22nd. Waited to see if they might have a cancellation. As alternative to Catania, I've been searching for one-night single accommodation, clean, comfy, nothing fancy, small, quiet BB, central area but off the main drag, 60-65e if possible. Something like Casa Grazia or Sweet Home--perfect, but not available. Checked those previously suggested here and other travel blogs--Nettuno, Svizzera, Continental, del Corso, etc; not avilable, 75e and up, no reply, or amenities/location did not sound to me worth the quotes. Anyone care to comment on Villa Gaia or similar?
