Other than walking, how can I make this short trip? I understand there are no autos in Taormina. Does anyone know if there are taxi's available on the outskirts of town? Or maybe a bus?

Yes, there are automobiles in Taormina ! I know, because we drove all over the blessed town looking for our hotel. You will find taxis in the town.

There is a bus that runs from Taormina up to Castelmola.
