From your research, what things are you most interested in and what kinds of places or sights didn't you like? Are you basing in Taormina for a while?

There’s a Greek/Roman amphitheater, a nice park (Villa Comunale di Taormina) right by it, Castelmola up on the hill and a little chapel (chiesa madonna) between Castelmola and the Taormina. I took the bus to Castelmola and walked down. You can also take the cable car down to the beach and Isolla Bella, take a little boat ride. Richard Burton and Liz Taylor used to hang out at Caffè Wunderbar in the main plaza.
It’s small, no tour guide needed.
