Anyone have experience with Hotel Villa Gaia? Need room for just one night, 22 May; basic pensione-type, clean, small, comfy, good location (not in the hills--due to knee problems. Tried CasaGrazia, Sweet Home (perfect, but not available).Only the expensive hotels/bbs are available for one night. Don't care for Nettuno, Svizzera, Continental, del Corso--read several negatives about them; several face street noise. Your input?

If it's only one night and the price is right, does street noise really matter? Howe much street noise could there be in Taormina?

Given your more serious requirements--price, comfy, location, I would suggest earplugs and requesting a room away from the street if possible.
