Taking a private care or boat from Naples to Praiano

Just another quick question... we will be flying into Naples and then are heading to Praiano with all our luggage... which is best?... train, boat or private car?
Thanks!

Nancy, how many people, how much baggage, and how tight a budget? A private car would certainly get you right to your lodging in Praiano more easily and quickly, but with somewhat more expense. I understand there is a bus directly from the Naples airport to Sorrento, not sure how often it runs, I have not taken it. Using the train would involve a few connections: airport to train station; Naples train station to Sorrento (or even Salerno) train station; then bus or boat to Praiano; then walk or maybe cab to your lodging. Personally, to me a private car seems like a worthwhile splurge.

How many people?
Cheapest for one person is the Curreri Viaggi bus from NAP to Sorrento, then the SITA bus from Sorrento to Praiano (less than €14 per person in total).
Another cheap option (but longer) is the SITA bus from NAP to Salerno, then SITA Bus from Salerno to Amalfi, then another SITA bus from Amalfi to Praiano. (That would be less than €10 pp, but it's a long trek).
The most comfortable option is a private transfer from NAP to Praiano. Likely about €80 to €90, for up to 3 passengers (a little more if 4 passengers or more).
The option of taking the Curreri bus to Sorrento, then a taxi from Sorrento to Praiano, is just as expensive for 2 people as taking the private car all the way from NAP to Praiano.

Unless you are traveling alone with minimal luggage, I'd go with the private car all the way from the NAP airport to Praiano.
