Swiss Guard induction ceremony: open to the public?

I will be in Rome on May 6th and just came across a Wiki article on the Swiss Guards for the Vatican. The article says they have the swearing in ceremony for the new Swiss Guards on May 6th. Is this a public ceremony available to the public to witness? Just thought it would be neat to see this and snap a few pics of the induction ceremony.

Nope, this event is not open to the public. The best way to get a ticket is to ask through any church-related or Swiss contacts you may have who might have connections to recruits and/or Guard functionaries. The ceremony is open to relatives and friends of Swiss guard recruits; tickets are color-coded for seating purposes. Elisabeth
