Supermarkets in Rome

My boyfriend and I are heading to Rome next week, and we both have a slight caffeine addiction. I lived in Germany for three years so I'm well aware of the high cost of soft drinks at restaurants and especially from street vendors near the sights. So my question is does anyone know of a supermarket close by Termini where we could get sodas, and possibly cheaper snacks to pack while sightseeing? (We're snackers vs. big meal eaters) Thanks for the imput!

Caroline, There are actually two grocery stores under Roma Termini. The Despar is out near the satellite tracks 26-29. Closer, and bigger, is the CONAD store, which is on the side of the station facing Via Marsala. They have bottled water for under 30 cents - one of the best prices in town! You might also look at this post which has a map and a list of many, many grocery stores: Grocery Stores in Rome.
