Hi,
Anyone heard of a "Super Green Pass". Is it needed for US citizens visiting Italy? If so, is there a way to apply for it. I'm planing for a trip to Italy in July 2022 and wondering if I need that.
The Super Green Pass is for Italian citizens to document that they’re fully vaccinated, for access to restaurants, lodging, and riding public transportation. Their “regular” green pass simply says they’ve tested negative, and is for admittance to hair salons, banks, post offices, and stores.
Either way, U.S. citizens don’t have access to a Super Green Pass, so your CDC vaccination/booster card is your documentation. The big thing is, between now and July, will the Italian government lift their current policy on only accepting COVID vaccinations/booster shots up to 6-months from your last shot? Hopefully that’s going to happen. I bet it will, but it could be March 2022 before an announcement is made.
