Finally got Steve's 2014 Italy book in the mail and cant stop reading!! But I have noticed that lots of things are closed on Sundays and Mondays are there any suggestions for these days of sight seeing?? Rome, Florence

Go to the places that aren't closed. :-) Rick has a two page table in most of his books that lists what's open or closed according to the day of the week.

One handy feature of the book is a one-page summary of the open/closed days in each big city; see p. 506 for Florence and 844 for Rome. Most things are only closed one day, not both.
