What are some good things to see and do on a Sunday morning in Rome? I will only have a couple of hours free, with a very full afternoon starting at 1:30. Thanks!
Go to Roscioli Caffe/ bakery for a maritozo, an out of this world pastry.
Where are you staying? There might be some suggestions for something to do nearby.

Good call, Suki. Place is actually called Forno, it's about a 3 minute walk from Campo de' Fiori, and while staying at an apartment in the vicinity, I'd stop in there after my early morning walk along the Tiber for the pastries. But then, often we'd nip on over around lunchtime for a rectangular slice of whatever Roman-style pizza was available--it changes daily. Had a salsiccia/rapini one day, couldn't wait to have it again, but it was out of the rotation rest of the week!
Needless to say, if you're close, it's worth the stop. Maybe even if you aren't close by...
I always enjoy going to a local church service. By local, I mean the Vatican. I believe the Panthion also has Sunday services. But any church on a Sunday morning is nice. It is a different feeling as a parishioner vs being a tourist.
You may get the church all to yourself. At the Vatican, the service was up near the alter, beyond the tourist line. Same thing at the Duomo in Florence. In Venice at St Marks, there were about 20 of us total in the entire church for the 7:00 am service. Of course, you must be respectful and don't treat it like a tour. Verify the times and language, but even if you don't speak Italian it is a nice experience.
Go visit St. Ivo church near the Piazza Navona. It is only open to the public from 0900 - 1100 on Sundays only - then you can stay for mass at 11. This is the most beautiful interesting church I visited during my 10 day trip to Rome last October. It is an architectural marvel. It is a little hidden - you enter through a courtyard that only has a small doorway to the street. But be persistent - it is worth it.
Thanks. Our hotel is near Campo de Fiori. Will definitely check out the bakery!
While I am planning to visit several churches while in Rome, as a non-Christian, I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be attending a Sunday morning service?
You don't need to attend the mass... that starts at 11:00 - you would have 0900 - 1100 free to visit and you won't need more than that - its a small church. If you have no interest in architecture there are better options for a Sunday.
