Our trip in February has us in Florence arriving Saturday afternoon, then we have Sunday and Monday. I know a lot of places will be closed. Any suggestions on how to get the most of our time? Thanks
A quick look at the main museum website for Florence shows many open on Sunday but closed on Monday. CLICK HERE for the website. There is a link to hours and tickets on the left side of the main page.
Stacy - Ask your hotel to reserve Uffizi and Accademia tickets for you on Sunday (many Florence hotels will do this for you). Medici Chapels and Pitti Palace museums are other sites to consider for Sunday. Save churches (incluing Duomo's dome or bell tower), Bargello and central market for Monday. You can visit the Ponte Vecchio anytime, although it's most interesting (and crowded) when the shops are open.
