When does the summer schedule for Trenitalia open up? We will be traveling July 4 from Rome to Florence. On the main site, it gives me no solutions for travel. But when I linked to the Le Frecce site, it shows the times for the trains, but not the price. Is it just too early, or am I doing something wrong?

Per a posting on SlowTrav: "booking usually opens 120 days ahead, except when there's a seasonal schedule change within that time, and there is one the second Sunday of June. As I remember, last year they started to post in early May. The operative term is "started to"; they post for some routes and some train types before others. At some point you might see a handful of trains for a route that normally has hourly service. You should consider them to be complete when they show a frequency similar to what shows for dates this week." Link here

Yes, you're too early. The summer schedule posts in mid June but they start to load some of the schedule earlier. Just start checking in May. You won't have a problem getting tickets for that date. Donna
